Powers-that-be must keep facility open
Published at 12:06, Tuesday, 02 September 2008
HAVING recently been a patient in the Abbey Park Elective Orthopedic Unit, I would like to ask the powers-that-be to do all they can to ensure this excellent facility remains open.
Sister Dack and her team of nurses have worked so hard to make this unit a success.
They deserve to see this facility made permanent, as do the people of Barrow who are benefiting from recovering in en-suite rooms in such a relaxed atmosphere.
This is private care on the NHS.
Please do not allow the unit to close.
