Definitely out is midfielder Dave Hewson, who turned down a possible move to Annan so as to stay at Borough Park.

Tony Hopper missed Tuesday’s draw with Harrogate because of a virus while Gari Rowntree has an ankle injury picked up at Hinckley.

Edmondson said: “It’s always a concern when you have such a small squad as we have but I’m hoping that both Tony and Gari might be available to play.

“We have brought in Gareth Arnison and I’m hoping that Kevin Gray will soon have positive news about his operation so that he won’t be missing for too long.”

Reds picked up their first point on Tuesday from the home draw with Harrogate but it should have been a win.

Edmondson said: “I’m a lot happier with the way we played which was a big improvement on Saturday. We were denied by an inspired performance by Harrogate’s goalkeeper.”
