Netherhall win derby

THE semi-finals of the Over 35s County Cup were both very tight affairs.
Grasslot against holders Netherhall was the tightest, going down to a penalty shoot-out.
And for the second tie in a row Netherhall came out on top after penalties.
In normal time the game ended 3-3 - goals from Netherhall’s Bobby Burton (2) and Dave Rushforth and a Phil Graham hat trick for Grasslot.
Netherhall knocked out their Maryport rivals 4-2 penalties to reach their second final in two years..
In the other semi Moresby travelled to Penrith and came out 2-1 winners after extra time, Paul Curtis and Gary May scored for Moresby, Sean Graham replied for the home side.
In division one earlier in the week Grasslot put seven past Silloth. Phil Graham lead the way with four goals while David Birkett, Mike Dempsey and Gary Murdock completed the scoring for the Maryport side. For Silloth Colin Campbell and Keith Hodgson scored a goal each.
Bottom team Bush gave Carlisle Zimmer's a scare before finally going down 3-2. Gary Dixon scored two for the Bush but Zimmer's hit back through Les Armstrong (2) and Dee Devlin.
St Bedes stopped Netherhall’s recent good run when they beat the Maryport side 2-0, Doug Sharpe and Mike Whinthrop were the Carlisle teams scorers.
In division two bottom club Frostoms recorded their first league point of the season in an eventful 4-4 draw with the Hall Park Hotel.
Hall Park stormed into a 3-0 lead after 30 minutes with goals from David Glasson Paul Hulse and a spectacular volley from George Atkinson.
Frostoms drew two back through Tommy Linford who added a third early in the second half.
Ian Makin then put the Hall Park back in the lead and then Linford earned his team a point with his fourth.
Penrith kept the pressure on league leaders Whitehaven with a hard fought 4-2 victory at the Bluebell with goals from Martin Blenkinsop, Alan Parkin, Sean Graham and Carl Riding.
