The Evening Mail has added more mugshots to its online rogues gallery.
We are highlighting some of the worst offenders on-line and updating it regularly, as people are brought to justice.
Just a selection of those imprisoned in the last few months include Gary Conner, 23, who was jailed for life for murdering Barrow dad-of-two Leigh Archer, 33, at an Essex hotel in late 2007 and Gary Bowes, 43, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his gay lover, last year.
Also featured is Brett Sihlar, 36, of Lincoln Street, Barrow. He has been banned from every football ground in England and Wales for three years and former Barrow FC and Ex-Manchester City trainee Ashley Timms, 22, who admitted demanding £15,000 from a Premiership footballer. He was jailed for 20 months.
South Cumbria’s top cop Superintendant Paul Kennedy fully supports The Evening Mail’s rogues gallery.
He said: “It’s important that the public know what’s happening in our law courts in order to feel confident about our justice system.
“These sentences also send out a message to criminals, that if you commit crime then you will be punished.”
