The Twang to play in west Cumbria

INDIE rock band The Twang will be coming to Whitehaven in June.

Brummie beats: Indie band The Twang will play at Whitehaven Civic Hall next month

Since the Birmingham band formed in 2001 they have won national acclaim. They are signed to the same label as Kaiser Chiefs, The Automatic and The Ordinary Boys.

Their debut single, Wide Awake reached number 15 in the UK singles charts in March last year.

The band also won the Phillip Hall Radar Award at the 2007 NME Awards.

The band will be performing at Whitehaven Civic Hall on Friday June 6.
