N-Joi the best of the under-ground
Last updated at 12:09, Thursday, 08 May 2008
N-Joi are the star turns this Saturday at Statik, a monthly underground house night at Spirit, Carlisle.
N-Joi – Mark Franklin and Nigel Champion – are best known for their classic hits Anthem and Adrenalin during the early 90s dance scene, and will be doing a special DJ set at Statik.
Co-promoter Gaz Foskett said: “We have worked very hard over the past five months trying to create a good underground house scene. We have given support to some excellent local underground guest DJs such as Chris Lockie, Lee Kennedy, Mick Lindsay and David Tunstall and would like this to continue – giving local talent a chance is a must for this area, as well as big acts like N-Joi.
Gaz and fellow Statik resident Jame Henry join special guest DJs N-Joi on the line-up on Saturday night – doors 10pm-4am £8, before midnight £10 after.
