Whose free tickets are they anyway?

PAUL MERTON and his highly talented Impro Chums perform at The Sands Centre, Carlisle, this month with a Whose Line Is It Anyway? style show – and we have five pairs of tickets to give away.

Regular Chums are Richard Vranch, Lee Simpson, Jim Sweeney and Suki Webster with special guest Impro Chums also appearing.

They take audience suggestions (on slips of paper handed in before the start and from things shouted out during the show) and create short scenes, speeches or jokes on the spot without any preparation.

They are all experienced improvisers and can deal with pretty much anything that is thrown at them by the audience or (and often worse) by the other improvisers to create cascades of fantastic tumbling laughter.

Paul Merton first came to public attention as a team captain on Have I Got News For You but he was already a successful comedy writer, especially on Sticky Moments With Julian Clary and a regular at The Comedy Store.

The improvised TV comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway? also provided a platform for his razor sharp spontaneous wit and his talent for improvisation continues to serve him well as host of Room 101.

Paul Merton’s Impro Chums starts at 8pm on Saturday May 31. Tickets, costing £18.50, are available from The Sands Centre box office on 01228 625222, 24 hour ticket line 08448 472276 or online at www.thesandscentre.co.uk
